Negrita is probably the most famous Italian rock band. Their music finds its roots in the classic rock and their style has transformed in many different ways through the years.
In 2004 the band began a long journey through South America, “looking for the perfect beat”. The fantastic photography of talented Alessio Pizzicannella documents this unique musical travel through Santiago, Valparaíso, Cordoba, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Andalusia & Catalogna.
The concept behind the book is to reflect the visual style of these different cultures into a distressed, colorful, diary-style report.
The extreme work of 135 spreads - each one consisting of multiple Photoshop layers and a plenty of details - has made each page “one of a kind”. The music, the colors, the breathtaking landscapes and the emotions of the band are definitive alive, captured by beautiful imagery and printed on rough paper.
